History

The Republic of Rystonia traces its origins to '''December 21, 2022''', when it was founded with the name of '''Harrisia'''. During its early years, the nation remained small and didn't adopt a flag until February 25, 2024.

On April 8, 2024, Harrisia underwent its first major reorganization and was renamed to '''Nikodonia'''. Along with the name change, a new flag was adopted, coat of arms, and civil flag.

Just twenty days later on April 28, 2024, Nikodonia was renamed '''Rystonia''', becoming the official name of the nation. A new national flag and coat of arms were introduced, while no new civil flag was created. A new website was also created during this time. During early May 2024, the flag was redesigned twice, with the second redesign becoming the simplified double-headed eagle flag that was used until 2025.

The nation's administrative structure also began to form during this period. In early May 2024, the first three states were established. They were Orystia, Ralo, and New Dominion. Later that year, Orystia and Ralo merged to create the state of Caseton. By July 2024, the nation had 6 states: Caseton, New Dominion, Meridia, Infria, Tenuston, and Septentria.

The country kept growing throughout that year, with the final state established being Tenoma at the end of that year.

Rystonia adopted its first official constitution on January 5, 2025, and was revised a couple times. The modern version of the constitution was ratified on June 25, 2025, but a new version of the constitution may be underway.

The flag of Rystonia changed once more on March 3rd, 2025. A new version of the anthem was also created.

On November 25th, 2025, the first Great Seal was created for Rystonia to ratify documents and media.

In late June 2026, the website was revised and got the domain '''rystonia.org'''. We also officially changed to an Imperiocracy, and the great seal was changed to fit the name change.

February Harrisia Flag

The February Harrisia flag was officially adopted on February 25th, 2023. The colors don't represent much.

The star on the flag represents the Polaris (the north star). The moon and star is not a symbol of Islam.

Nikodonian Flag

The Nikodonian flag was officially adopted on April 8th, 2024. The blue represents valor, and the red represents war.

Nikodonian Civil Flag

The Nikodonian civil flag was officially adopted on April 8th, 2024. Made for anyone who wanted to express their nationality without implying government authority.

Nikodonian Coat of Arms

The Nikodonian coat of arms was officially adopted on April 8th, 2024. It was made to ratify documents or other media, and to establish identity.

Late April Rystonian Flag

The first Rystonian flag was officially adopted on April 28th, 2024. The blue represents the canals of the nation and the green represents the land of the nation. The star in the middle represents the unification of both.

Late April Coat of Arms

The Nikodonian coat of arms was officially adopted on April 8th, 2024. It was made to ratify documents or other media, and to establish identity.

Early May Rystonian Flag

The first Rystonian flag was officially adopted on May 4th, 2024. It's like the late May Rystonian flag but instead only has two sides, with the colors being blue and red. Similar to the Nikodonian flag.

Early May Coat of Arms

The Nikodonian coat of arms was officially adopted on May 4th, 2024. It was made to ratify documents or other media, and to establish identity.

It features the golden eagle with a shield on top of it. The shield is similar to the flag accompanying it at the time, with a blue and red side with a star in the middle.

First Eagle Rystonian Flag

The flag of Rystonia featuring the double headed eagle was officially created and adopted on May 8th, 2024.

The blue represents the valor of the nation. The white cross represents Christianity, and the double headed eagle represents the golden eagle and the two divine natures of Jesus Christ.

First Eagle Coat of Arms

The Nikodonian coat of arms was officially adopted on May 8th, 2024. It was made to ratify documents or other media, and to establish identity.

First War Flag

The flag of Rystonia featuring the double headed eagle was officially created and adopted on July 3rd, 2024.

The war flag was an inverted version of the regular flag, and has the double headed eagle on a shield and a crown on top of that shield.

Second War Flag

The second war flag was adopted on July 23rd, 2024. It was created by the Kingdom of Nordmeer.

First Great Seal

The first Great Seal was created on November 25th, 2025. It was created as a way to ratify official documents.
